This selection of works under this title is the first attempt at creating my exhibition of the same name, a collection of pieces each their own link to a part of me, be it my past, my mental health, or even my physical health.
"consolidating the overwhelming pressure of your expectations"
The first completed piece for the exhibition is tied directly the pressures, and lack thereof, that were experienced growing up and the strange, isolated feeling of loneliness that came with it.
The total time spent on this piece was about a month, from planning out hand locations, penciling in the final ones, sorting the line-art, and finally the tiny cross-hatched background.
It was entered in the Cass Art Prize 2024 on May 20th.
